About Us
Sparrow's Automotive was founded in 2021 in Dural, NSW, by owner and lead technician Dean Sparrow. What began as a small, customer-focused mobile mechanic service has grown into a trusted name, built on honesty, professionalism, and quality workmanship. In 2024, Sparrow's Automotive proudly relocated to Berkeley Vale, continuing to serve the Central Coast community with the same dedication and care.
Dean began his mechanical career in 2013 at Toyota in South Africa where he completed his apprenticeship and rose through Toyota’s specialised training program. In Australia, he earned qualifications as both a Toyota Pro-Technician and a Toyota Diagnostic Master Technician, achieving advanced diagnostic and technical expertise across a wide range of modern vehicles.
After moving to Australia in 2016, Dean completed his bridging certificate conversion and gained hands-on experience working with several independent workshops before returning to Toyota to complete his Diagnostic Master Technician certification. His professional development and diverse experience include extensive European vehicle specialist training, servicing brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Audi and many more.
With over a decade of industry experience, Dean is passionate about providing quality service with the convenience of a mobile workshop. Sparrow's Automotive offers professional, reliable, and affordable mobile mechanic services across the Central Coast — keeping your vehicle running at its best, wherever you are.

If i could rate this guy 10 stars i would. Dean is genuine in wanting to help people. Had to replace water pump on my Audi. Dean answered all my questions in detail giving key methods which lead to successful repair. He is professional, caring and happy i was able to complete the job. Possesses a rare, quality goes above and beyond. I never do reviews but this guy blew me away with his kindness. Wow.
I highly recommend Dean from sparrow automotive. My car had broken down in the middle of a busy road and he stopped to offer his expertise and assistance. He was able to get my BMW started so that I could get home safely. He was very knowledgeable and pin pointed the issue immediately, he is a lovely young man who is honest. He went out of his way to assist me when he didn’t have to, which was greatly appreciated.
